*On October 27, 2025, connections to the Capira app (the old PrairieCat app) will be turned off which will affect account-related functionality (pages such as catalog search, log-in, viewing checkouts/holds, etc.).
- Search “PrairieCat Libraries Mobile” in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store
- Locate the option with the “PrairieCat On the Go” icon
- Depending on when you are searching for the app, the previous app may still appear in the results
- Download app and log-in by scanning the barcode on the back of your library card, OR enter your library card number in manually.
The new app is fully featured and allows users to manage their library account as well as:
- Store digital library cards
- Link accounts and manage accounts for the whole family
- Scan ISBN/barcode on any book to check availability in PrairieCat system
- Select preferences for layouts and languages
- Access e-materials directly in the app – search, place holds, checkout, and download e-books and e-audiobooks
- Improved look and design
